Who we are

Three trades, done properly.

Alya Construction is a drywall, taping and painting contractor based in British Columbia. That is all we do, and it is the reason we do it well.

We work as a subcontractor to general contractors and to larger painting companies. You award the scope and we run it, with our own foremen on site and our own tradesmen behind them. You are not taking on labour that needs supervising.

Our crews travel and stay on site. Most of the work our people have completed was done in occupied buildings, on someone else's schedule, which is where notice periods, access windows and tenant coordination decide whether a job finishes on time.

What we do

Services

Gypsum board and steel stud, taping and finishing to Level 5, and painting to MPI systems. We do not carry other trades, and we do not subcontract these out.

Drywall and Steel Stud

Gypsum board supply and installation, steel stud framing, shaftwall assemblies, bulkheads and furring. Fire rated and moisture resistant assemblies to the UL and ULC designs the drawings call for.

Taping and Finishing

Taping, compound and plaster finishing to every level the specification asks for, up to Level 5 skim coat. Texture matched to existing where a repair has to disappear into the surrounding surface.

Painting

Interior and exterior painting to MPI systems and grades. Premium Grade and institutional specifications, corner to corner where the specification prohibits spot painting.
